COLT AGENT
Colt Agent Serial Numbers By Year
The easiest way of finding out what series of Detective Special you have is to search the serial number of your revolver (found on the frame, visible when the cylinder is open) through Colt’s website for free. This will give you a manufacture date that can be applied to the following Issues. I know I've seen it before, but I can't find it now. I am looking for a reference to cross serial numbers to manufacture dates, specifically Colts. Once a valid link to the references is posted, maybe it could be made a sticky?
